Ooops!
IMPORTANT!After the United Federation of Teachers Election Committee learned that some mailed ballots were being returned to the sender rather than mailed to the American Arbitration Association, the Election Committee immediately brought the matter to the attention of the AAA. Upon investigation it was discovered that there was a printing error made on the mailing envelope which caused the problem. To correct this error the AAA’s printer has arranged for a reprinting of the mailing envelope at no expense to the union A correct mailing envelope for the return of the United Federation of Teachers 2007 election ballot is enclosed.
If you have not returned your ballot yet, please use this envelope for the return of the ballot instead of the envelope that was included with the original ballot mailing.
If you have mailed your ballot and it has been returned to you, please use this envelope to send your ballot to the American Arbitration Association. Simply remove your ballot from the returned envelope and place it into this correct envelope.
If you have mailed your ballot and it has NOT been returned to you, no further action is necessary.
If you have any questions, please call the AAA at 1-800-529-5218.

WHAT!
ARE YOU KIDDING?!!!
typical.
Wow. that's kind of a shoddy way for the AAA to cover their screw-up. If we'd wanted a Bozo the Clown-style election, we could perhaps have enlisted Bozo's services directly.
As I understand it, he's not nearly as popular as he used to be, and we may have been able to negotiate a favorable rate.
Sorry, Bozo is busy being UFT President right now.
Yeah... I just got my ballot back yesterday. So, I'm just supposed to wait for the "new" envelope? What if I don't receive a new envelope? I think this was all a plot to stop my ballot from being counted. Or it could just be a coincidence... I'll leave it up to you to decide. But HHMMMMMMM. Why does the snakehead's ballot have to be returned? HMMM.
Conspiracies abound. I bet you the US Postal Service was in on it to. Yeah!
It wasn't me.
The UFT has chosen the AAA to negotiate the next contract with Bloomberg.
Dude, I don't think we are negotiating with Bloomberg in 2009! Shouldn't he be out by then?
Bloomberg is not out until January 1, 2010.
How depressing. But I felt the same way about Rudy. Who would've imagined they'd find someone even worse to take his place?
I hope this trend comes to a halt come January 2010.
It doesn't matter who the Mayor is if we are not organized.
Chicago has a Democratic Mayor and the same crap has been happening since '95.Nothing will change until we have a union leadership with a spine.
We also need a union membership with a spine to vote out this union leadership. This is the last chance to mail in those ballots. ICE-TJC!
When the election is over UFT members with a spine will form the new opposition. No matter how few, 10 of them are worth 1 Unity.
Seriously, does ICE even serve a real purpose other than to drive a wedge within our union? Has ICE ever accomplished anything worthy of mention? And no, a sham presidential candidate in the last election, shoddy quality YouTube films, and heckling during the Delegate Assembly doesn't count.
-Son Of Unity, the next generation
I'll be back!
